The OJCA Board of Directors is selected during the general membership meeting at the OCA Annual Convention and Tradeshow. This year’s event will take place July 24 to July 25 at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and must not turn 22 during the final year of their elected term. All board terms are three years. Current Junior Board officers and directors who have not yet fulfilled their terms are not required to resubmit an application.
After applications are submitted, all applicants will be contacted with additional details and information. Once elected as directors, the membership will vote on which individuals will serve in officer positions at convention. Officer positions must be filled by a member who served on the Junior Board the previous year.
OJCA officers and directors are required to attend and actively participate in a minimum of three OJCA Quarterly Board Meetings. These meetings are held at the spring meeting, fall meeting, the OJCA Summer Preview Show, and the OJCA Convention.
All board members are expected to attend and fulfill their responsibilities at the Annual Convention and Banquet, as well as the OJCA Summer Preview Show, unless prevented by unavoidable circumstances that must be communicated in advance. Failure to meet these requirements will result in resignation from the board and replacement at the following general membership meeting.
Members of the OJCA Board of Directors are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all official functions. As representatives of the organization, they are viewed as role models. Any violation of ethics will be addressed by the Junior Board in a timely and appropriate manner.
Applications must be submitted online by July 15, 2026.
Applications will not be accepted by mail or in person.
